Hello Games has announced the next chapter Beyond for No Man’s Sky and it is arriving in Summer 2019. This was announced by Sean Murray, Founder of Hello Games in a blog post on official PlayStation blog.
The new chapter Beyond is a combination of three major updates. Sean said on the post that earlier this year, they planned to interweave the features and Beyond is the result of three major updates combined together for a greater impact on the audience. The update will have three major components and in this blog post, the developer has announced the first one which is No Man’s Sky Online.
New Man’s Sky Online will include a brand new social and multiplayer experience which will make it easier and more accessible for all players to meet and play the game together. Sean also mentions that they do not consider the game an MMO so there will be no subscription. It will allow players to come together and it will be free of micro-transactions.
Beyond will also be free for all players who own the game. More information will be shared in the coming weeks. The developers have high hopes for Beyond and they are sure that players will like the upcoming chapter of No Man’s Sky. Sean mentioned:
Beyond will be our most ambitious chapter so far, and something we’ve been working ridiculously hard on. We’ll continue to support No Man’s Sky in this way for the foreseeable future.
If there is a game that came back and redeemed itself in this generation, it is none other than No Man’s Sky. No Man’s Sky was originally released back in 2016 and it received a lot of negative reviews back then. Hello Games did not give up on the title and continued working on it and now it offers one of the best space exploration experiences.
No Man’s Sky Next is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
