Noob Saibot Guide – Mortal Kombat 11

Our Mortal Kombat 11 Noob Saibot Guide details everything that you need to know about Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 11. Our guide details the keys for the PS4 version of the game. Xbox One follows the same format however the key names are different for the console.

Noob is a very good fighter when it comes to punishing enemies and making sure that Noob remains as far as possible from his enemies at the same time. Noob lacks mixup attacks however his attacks deal solid damage to enemies. His Shadow Form also assists him in combos making them extra special.

Normal Combos

This section of the guide details all of Noob’s normal combo moves in Mortal Kombat 11.

Empty Grave

This combo attack can be performed by pressing Square, Square, Triangle. This is a very fast attack combo which ends with a powerful overhead attack which can easily knock down enemies. You must make sure that you land the first hit because if the enemy ducks under the first hit, you will miss the combo. This attack is best used for punishing enemy attacks.

Tormented Souls

This combo attack can be performed by pressing Square, Square, Cross. Tormented Souls is an excellent attack combo if you want to start a chain of combos. If your opponent blocks this attack, it can be punished by them heavily so it is best if you use this combo as a secondary choice.

For the Brotherhood

This move can be performed by pressing Back+Square, Square+X, Triangle. This combo deals decent mid damage and knocks the opponent back at the end giving you some space. This attack is very dangerous in the neutral so you must use it between combos as it will also add a hit stun for the second hit. Punish or Counter with this attack for a powerful Crushing Blow with massive damage.

Resurrected

This move can be performed by pressing Triangle, Square, Triangle. Resurrected is a very fast attack and will help you start some combos quickly by setting up your opponents in a vulnerable position. The combo itself contains a variety of hits which can be difficult to block as well.

This is excellent for use in corners. However, watch out for the first hit because the attack is high and the enemy might duck under the attack and counter with their own combo instead. Do not continue with the combo if you miss the first hit.

Wailing Wraith

This attack can be performed by pressing Forward+Triangle, Triangle, Square, Triangle. This is a decent four hit combo and is one of the best combos to extend your previous combos into new ones. Avoid starting with this combo from neutral because the first hit is high and it can be easily missed if your opponent ducks.

The last hit in this combo will send the enemy in the air making them in the perfect position to follow up with more attacks. Its decent range is also good for punishing enemies with it. Your enemy might block the third hit in the attack and counter with their own so keep an eye out. End the combo early if the attack is blocked.

Sinister Silhouette

This move can be performed by pressing Forward+Cross, Square+Cross. This is a useful move that not only damages the enemy but also switches side with them. The hit is low so the enemy has the chance to block the attack.  If the enemy blocks the attack high, the attack will land a Crushing Blow during the attack.

Dark Push

This attack can be performed by pressing Back+Triangle. This is a very useful mid attack that can throw your enemies back. Enemies can seldom block this attack and it also has a very decent range which allows for Noob to safely land the attack even from a distance.

Sneaky Saibot

This attack can be performed by pressing Forward+Circle. Sneaky Saibot is a two-hit combo. The first hits low while the second hit deals damage on high. This is a useful quick attack for many scenarios and it not very dangerous even if your enemy blocks the first attack.

Special Moves

This section of the guide details all of Noob’s special moves in Mortal Kombat 11.

Shadow Tackle

This useful special move can be performed by pressing Back, Front, Triangle. This is the most commonly used Noob’s ranged attack and it is helpful in a lot of scenarios. This attack is good if you want to create some distance between yourself and your enemy. Land ten clone attacks and you will land a Crushing Blow during the next Shadow Tackle.

Rising Shadow Kick

This useful anti-air move can be performed by pressing Back, Front, Triangle. This is a very effective air control move and can also be used to end close ranged combos. If the combo is ending with the enemy very close to you, you can end the combo with a Rising Shadow Kick for more damage or start another combo if the enemy is pinned in the corner.

Tele-Slam (Air+Ground)

This special move can be performed by pressing Down, Up. This attack deals decent damage and is excellent evasive move as well. It can cancel most of your enemy moves and will allow you to bypass their attacks and land your own instead. This is effective against airborne enemies as well. The command is the same for performing the attack in the air or the ground.

Shadow Slide

This special move can be performed by pressing Back, Front, Cross. This is a slow attack however it covers a lot of ground and is effective against enemies trying to land a high hit.

Ghostball

This special move can be performed by pressing Back, Forward, Square. It will render the enemy’s helpless against your next attack as they will not be able to block anything until the status is active or you manage to land a hit on them.

This can be combined with combos to make sure that your enemy is unable to avoid your next combo starter. The projectile itself deals damage to enemies as well when they hit the enemy. Also if your enemy tries to block the Ghostball, it will still pass through and they will acquire the status effect. The starting time is a little high so you will need to watch out for incoming attacks.

Sickle Snag (Sickle Port in Air)

This move can be performed by pressing Down, Back, Square. This is one of Noob’s best moves when it comes to combo finishers which also acts as an effective anti-air. Try to end your combos with this useful move because it will let the enemies fall close to you opening further combo moves.

This move can also be performed in the air which becomes Sickle Port. In the air, press Down, Back, Square to land a Sickle Port. Unlike the ground move, this move is all about movement. Noob will throw his sickle and teleport to the location allowing him to quickly move around the stage avoiding enemy attacks. Use the meter to add an uppercut in the mix as well.

Spirit Ball

This special move can be performed by pressing Back, Forward, Square. This is yet another projectile move. It is much faster than the Ghostball but the enemy can duck under it as it attacks high. Ghostball attacks mid so it cannot be ducked under but it is slower. You can pick whichever move suits your build more and use that move more while fighting with Noob.

Shadow Strike

This move can be performed by pressing Back, Forward, Triangle. This is a very fast, low hitting attack and it can help you end combos very effectively. Since Noob uses his Shadow Form for this attack, this attack is very safe even if your opponent blocks the attack.

Sickle Toss

Sickle Toss can be performed by pressing Down, Back, Triangle. This is a powerful high attack which can be changed by using special inputs. If you want to use the default attack, use the command and have mid-distance from your opponent.

Hold back while this attack and the distance will reduce and the attack will hit opponents closer to you. Pres forward and the attack will hit enemies which are far from you. Hold up and you will hit the enemies which are at the other end of the fullscreen.

Shadow Dive (Air)

This special move can be performed by pressing Down, Back, Circle. This attack can only be performed in the air. This is a very useful air-to-ground move that will deal a decent amount of damage to your enemies. This move is excellent for opponents who are using uppercut a lot or have a strong anti-air.

Fatal Blow

Noob’s Fatal Blow takes a little while to start up but once you grab hold of the enemy, the attack is excellent. To avoid the slow startup, try to start a combo and then add the Fatal Blow at the end for a massive combo finish while dealing massive damage to your enemy.

General Playing Tips

  • Since the initial inputs for both Empty Grave and Tormented Souls are the same, it gives you the best opportunity to decide which move you want to end the combo with. If your opponent blocks the first two hits, end the combo with Empty Grave otherwise go for Tormented Souls because Tormented Souls is highly punishable when blocked.
  • Use Teleport after landing a Sickle Toss to combo the attack. The speed and distance required for Sickle Toss make it very hard to combo it with any other Noob’s moves.
