Three new legendary Pokémon have mysteriously started appearing in the wild in Pokémon Go. The Lake trio from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum are Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie. These Pokémon can be found in the world, and you do not need to battle them in Raids.
Not fighting these new legendary Pokémon is unlike any other legendaries as they are not available as Raid bosses. Rather, they have just started spawning in the world like typical Pokémon. The new legendary Pokémon are quite rare, so the odds of finding one are fairly low.
Hmm. We’ve been hearing reports of unidentified Pokémon. 🤔 As Professor Willow looks into these reports, please let us know if you spot anything out of the ordinary in #PokemonGO. pic.twitter.com/S08Fnq5u0Q

Stunned fans have bee reporting the mysterious addition of the legendary Pokémon in the wild. So far, players have only reported each beast in one of the game’s three main regions. Uxie has been found in Asia-Pacific, Azelf in the Americas, and Mesprit in Europe.
For now, it is unclear how long the new Pokémon will appear in the game. typically, legendaries typically stay in the game for approximately a month until Niantic cycles them out for new Pokémon. With the reports of each of the new Pokémon being available in a certain region, it seems like that the three legendaries will swap to different regions before leaving the game entirely.
The Lake Trio was previously hinted as prime candidates for release over the summer at Pokémon Go’s three big Go Fest events. These events are set in Chicago, Dortmund in Germany and a to-be-announced location in Asia. This might be a way to tease the three legendary Pokémon before the event actually begins.
Pokémon Go’s next Community Day is also scheduled for this month on May 19, where they will feature Torchic, a Fire-type starter Pokémon from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Be sure to check that out as well.
