Dying Light 2 Release Window Announced, Trailer Shown at Xbox E3 2019 Event

Dying Light 2 Campaign

The release window for Dying Light 2 has been announced at the Xbox e3 2019 Briefing. Developer Techland has also dished out a new parkour filled trailer along with the confirmation that the game would be launching next Spring in 2020.

Take a look at the trailer below:

This also means that the game is delayed to next year, as it was speculated for a release in 2019. Unfortunately, a release date has still not been confirmed, which can mean that Techland might still be working on the development of the game.

The trailer does show Aiden Caldwell, who is the protagonist in the game, with the various factions he will encounter in Dying Light 2. The RPG will be choice driven where your actions will have consequences that will effect throughout the city. Factions will be something new in the sequel, as the previous game was all about fighting zombies, or the main enemy faction.

Nonetheless, you can expect lots of parkour and the classic gameplay style that made Dying Light an instant hit when it was released back in 2015. Dying Light 2 will emphasize on the time, where during the daytime you will have to complete tasks and missions set by the humans, and during the night time where you will have to fight zombies.

Techland describes the events of the sequel set 15 years after where we left off the first game in the series; Dying Light. This modern dark age will put players in a fictional European city where you will have to either join or fight against Factions.
