Nintendo’s upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 3 has long been teased since its reveal. The game has now been rumored to be coming this year in October after a release date was leaked by Amazon Mexico.
The retailer has indicated that the Nintendo Switch exclusive game will be releasing on October 4, 2019. Last month at E3, Nintendo showed us gameplay of the game and detailed many of its features that will be in the game. However, the company did not share any release date information.
While this leak can be taken with a grain of salt, it still makes sense that it is releasing in October, which is close to Halloween. The spooky ghost filled game and its theme sets the mood perfectly for the month of October leading up to Halloween holiday.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the next title coming in the series by Nintendo. Luigi finds himself in trouble, having to deal in a ghost-infested mansion. In the game story, Luigi has been invited to stay in a hotel alongside his friends Mario, Peach, and co. But unfortunately, the hotel is not what it seems to be and things have taken a dark turn when he arrives. The hotel is now taken over by ghosts that refuse to check out and are not exactly friendly.
From the moment you start the game, you will be given a handful of abilities including your doppelganger Gooigi. This is a jelly version of Luigi that can traverse through inaccessible spots and works together with Luigi to help him out. Gooigi can walk through spikes and fences.
The game will also feature online co-op modes with multiple Luigis. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will have a local cooperative multiplayer called “ScareScraper,” in which you have to defeat ghosts, and race to find toads, face new challenges and clear as many floors you can before the time runs out.
