Remothered: Torment Fathers Physical

Storming Games and Darril Arts have announced that the Nintendo Switch version of their award-winning horror game Remothered: Tormented Fathers has been delayed. The game will now release in August. It was previously scheduled to release this month but due to some backend working, the developer has pushed the release date one month.

The added time will allow the developers to polish and tune the game even further to meet the developer’s award-winning pedigree. Since the Nintendo Switch version supports all added console functionality which might take a little more time to be perfected. The Nintendo Switch version will allow players to take their spooks and jumpscares to anywhere they want.

In Remothered: Tormented Fathers, players play as Rosemary Reed who is trying to investigate the disappearance of a girl called Celeste. Reed arrives at Celeste’s adoptive father’s house but is quickly kicked out. Desperate to solve the case, Reed tries to sneak back in and she is left trapped in her worst nightmare where she must do everything she can to get out alive.

Stormind Games commented on the delay that:

they are committed to providing an immersive and gripping experience for the player. The extra time for the project will help us reach that goal. We want the Nintendo Switch version of Remothered: Tormented Fathers for North America, Europe, and Australia, to be a release that lives up to both the standards of our players and our studio.

Some of the key features of the game include:

  • Many ways to survive – Misguide your stalkers with the endless combinations of game dynamics: stealth, action, strategy, hide & run. Use your skills to block them in another area of the house. Attack your enemy and make your items more powerful by spiking them. Carefully study the behavior of your stalker and his path. Don’t get too close to your enemy, and when they are getting close to you, if possible hide.
  • Psychological plot – Characters in the story are everyday people who turn into scary monsters.
  • Movie-like cutscenes – Thanks to his impressive direction, Chris Darril created a story rich of complex life-like characters.
  • Audio clues – Use the 3D audio sound effects to understand when your stalkers are getting closer.
  • No health bars – Your body is the only way to understand how you are doing.
  • Realistic puzzles – Environments and characters have been conceived to be realistic and believable.
  • Real-time loading – Explore the mansion without worrying about empty moments or boring loading times.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers is now slated for a release on August 30, 2019, on Nintendo Switch. It is already available on PC via Steam.
