We have seen quite a few collector’s consoles in this generation however most of them have been PS4s but now out of the blue, Microsoft has announced an icy new Limited Edition Gears 5 Xbox One X which comes with tons of accessories to match the console. Apart from the Xbox accessories, players who want similar experience on PC are also getting some Gears 5 themed accessories to show their love of the upcoming title.
Starting with the crown of the show, the Limited Edition Xbox One X console arrives in the form of a bundle which includes the Limited Edition Xbox One X console, Kait Diaz Limited Edition controller, a bonus in-game Ice Kait and Jack skin, a copy of Gears 5 Ultimate Edition along with the Gears Collection which includes all four previous titles in the franchise. Gear of War: Judgment is not included since it was not really related to the main story of the game.
The console itself looks amazing with the Crimson Omen now all white as it is submerged under icy water and snow. The console is built with a translucent shell while the Omen is actually inside the shell which is meant to create the submerged shell effect. It also features some really cool cracks on the shell which gives the idea of ice cracking. The bundle also packs a month of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold so players will be all set on September 10 if they opt for this amazing bundle for just $499.
Microsoft also shared details of other bundles and cool accessories which are also themed on Gears 5 and arriving nearly at the same time around the launch. Apart from the Limited Edition Xbox One X bundle, there is also a Gears 5 bundle which includes the standard Xbox One X, standard controller, all five games in the franchise along with a month of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. It will cost $499 as well. A similar Xbox One S bundle is also coming out which will cost $299.
The Kait Diaz Edition Controller is also available separately for sale and it also comes with a matching charging dock. The matching charging dock is sold separately and will cost players $49.99 while the controller will cost $74.99. They release on August 20, 2019. Razer is also joining the bandwagon and they are releasing a Gears 5 themed Thresher headset along with a keyboard and mouse. All three items feature the same icy theme of Gears 5 along with matching logos.
And if that is not enough, Seagate is releasing an external HDD based on the Gears 5 theme for up to 2TB and it looks brilliant. So if you play on a PC, you can opt for the controller, headset, keyboard, and the mouse along with the external HDD. The external HDD could also work with the Xbox One X and S so all of these items are amazing and could work out for anyone regardless of the platform they are playing on.
Gears 5 is arriving on Xbox One and PC on September 10, 2019, and continues the story where Gears of War 4 left. There is a huge cliffhanger at the end of Gears of War 4 so we cannot wait to play the next title in the franchise and it is finally arriving next month.
