Playstation 4 without any doubts has the greatest library of exclusive games but sometimes things took swift turns and went sideways, here are the Playstation 4 Exclusives That Disappointed
8. Gran Turismo Sport
Gran Turismo came out on the Playstation 1 and right became everyone’s favorite racer back in the day, the game was loved and known for its unique way of handling and the amazing selection of cars that it offered. After some games in the franchise went on a break and returned with GT Sport and they couldn’t do wrong, could they? GT Sport wasn’t even close to it’s older parts in standards. The game had a very small selection of cars, getting to the race was super annoying there were many sub menus and lastly, they made it an online-only game. Yeah, they screwed up with this one.
7. Days Gone
This is a little complicated as critics called it off with low scores and on the other hand, fans became extremely vocal on how the game was good and it turned into a cult classic hit. Days Gone had a lot of hype around it, the game looked promising and had potential but after a getting delayed when it dropped out. The game had everything but the amazing quality of a PlayStation exclusive. It was bland, the story was good but the writing was so far stretched that it ran out of gas after the first few hours. The game also had a few bugs and glitches and overall felt like a generic zombie adventure game with nothing special.
6. Drive Club
When Drive Club launched it disappointed Way too many people, despite the fact that it looked super gorgeous. For console, the game managed to look hyper-realistic but apart from all this it really lacked a lot. The whole packaged seemed to dull almost as if the developers didn’t want to put in a whole lot of creativity into it. Drive Club received negative feedback and also came with issues. For those who bought digital copies, the PlayStation store even gave customers their refunds. (You win some you lose some much?)
5. The Order 1886
The order 1886 has stunning aesthetics and a rich royal story which is all set in alternative history. The concept here was strong and the characters supported it well but the run time was ridiculously short. You could beat the game in roughly 6 hours and the core gameplay was just average. It didn’t offer anything new and all that was there was already done better in other games. Similar to Days Gone, The Order 1886 had somewhat turned into a cult classic game aswell.
4. Killzone Shadow Fall
This one takes me back to the launch days of the great Playstation 4, we all had our eyes locked on Killzone shadow fall but little did we know that our favorite franchise was shaken up as shadow fall tried many things to be different from previous Killzone games. This one didn’t have much to it apart from generic moments, a weak and bland story, the most disappointing thing was how it lacked all adrenaline-pumping moments classic Killzone has brought us years ago.
3. No Mans sky
Back in 2016 No Mans sky launched as a PS4 exclusive and the hype was unreal, from its marketing and developer interviews we learned that the game will have close to infinite amounts of content with so many planets and creatures that in you’d never be able to see all of them and at launch it was nothing but a No Man’s Lie, The game had bugs, glitches and nothing of what was promised to make it one of the most controversial videogame launches.
2. Knack 2
I guess Sony didn’t notice how poorly Knack was received so the somehow decided to come up with a sequel and as expected just like it’s predecessor knack 2 went straight to the $20 dollar bin. How in their right mind ever thought that this was a good idea, to begin with. It was a tad bit better than the original but was a total forgetful experience that got low scores and became shelf warmer in every game retail store
1.Knack
I still can’t figure out how Sony decided to make this game one of the launch titles, presented as a bright, colorful adventure, in reality, Knack was not even close to the likes of Sly Cooper and Crash Bandicoot. Knack was an ultimate disappointment that couldn’t define 10% of what feats the PlayStation 4 could reach. It lacked creativity and there were barely any wow moments in it. It has to be the greatest snoozefest we’ve ever played.
