The Mountain Collectibles – Locations Guide

This God of War Foothills Collectible Locations Guide focuses on all collectibles present in The Mountain. There are 35 collectibles in this region that you must collect. We have detailed the collectibles in a sequence so it is best that you follow the guide as it is so you do not miss any collectibles. For this region, head to the location where you cleared the Black Fog and enter the Mountain from there.

The Mountain Collectible # 1 – Raven

When you enter the mountain, take the right path from the chamber where the deer statue is located across the chasm. Head down the path and follow the tunnels until you reach the wooden bridge. The raven is sitting under the bridge. You can hit it from the gap in the bridge where it is broken.

The Mountain Collectible # 2 – Artifact

The second raven is also located in the same area. You will find a wooden wall here that can be destroyed with any weapon. Break the wall and find the collectible sitting near a corpse.

The Mountain Collectible # 3 – Lore Marker

This Lore Marker is also located in the same area. To find it, destroy the wooden barricade and you will find a blue crystal behind it. Atreus can shoot blue arrows at it to create a light bridge. Cross the chase and pick the second crystal from the floor. Take it across the bridge and place it next to the inactive Lore Marker. Make Atreus shoot another arrow at it to activate the Lore Marker.

The Mountain Collectible # 4 – Nornir Chest

In the same area as the Lore Marker, you will find a Nornir Chest. Since it is sitting in the dark, make Atreus shoot an arrow at the torch next to it to light up the area. Now you will be able to see the signs easily. To find the signposts, head back to the wooden bridge from where you can see two of the required signposts. The last one is visible from the light bridge. Once all signposts have the required signs, you can go and unlock the Nornir Chest.

The Mountain Collectible # 5 – Lore Marker

Now go back to the main path and continue heading up. When you reach the other side of the chasm where the giant deer is sitting, look at its back and you will find this Lore Marker.

The Mountain Collectible # 6 – Lore Marker

Keep heading forward on the main path and you will come across some red sap. This is blocking the gate which can be opened to give you access to the opening area of the mountain. Make Atreus shoot a shock arrow at it to blow it up. Open the steal gate and go back to the main entrance. Grab the blue crystal, which you placed earlier in the story mission, and then go back to the red sap gate. Put the crystal in the socket near the Lore Market and collect it.

The Mountain Collectible # 7 – Lore Marker

Get back on the story path until you have to climb the wall. During your climb, you will find this Lore marker in plain sight. You might have collected it during the story.

The Mountain Collectible # 8 – Legendary Chest

Follow the main story path until you open the large door and enter the area where you climbed the mountain via the elevator. Kill the wolves and climb the chain located on your left side. Open the Legendary Chest present above.

The Mountain Collectible # 9 – Lore Marker

In the middle of the same area, you will find a big wooden crate containing some stones. Look at its back to find some lore written on it.

The Mountain Collectible # 10 – Shop

In the same area, go to the tunnel, which is lighted by a torch. Keep following it and you will reach Brok’s shop. You would have met him earlier while playing the main story most probably.

The Mountain Collectible # 11 – Raven

Look to the right side of Brok’s shop towards the chasm. You will see the Raven flying in circles there.

The Mountain Collectible # 12 – Artifact

Continue on the main story path and go through the spike trap. Just after the trap, throw your axe at the spike wall to open it and collect the artifact.

The Mountain Collectible # 13 – Raven

In the same area, climb the chain and circle around until you reach the same area as the previous artifact. You will find the raven sitting in front of you on the main story path.

The Mountain Collectible # 14 – Artifact

Drop down in the main area and you will find some red sap in the main area. Make Atreus shoot an electric arrow at it to blow it up and collect the artifact sitting behind it.

The Mountain Collectible # 15 – Hidden Chamber

In the main area, you will find the entrance to the Hidden Chamber where you collect the Lore Marker.

The Mountain Collectible # 16 – Mystic Gateway

This is located inside the Hidden Chamber in the main area.

The Mountain Collectible # 17 – Raven

This is located inside the hidden chamber in the room where you fight the Valkyrie.

For the remaining collectibles for this location, you must fast-travel to the ‘Summit’ Mystic Gate.

The Mountain Collectible # 18 – Mystic Gateway

Automatically unlocked while playing the main story of the game.

The Mountain Collectible # 19 – Language Cipher Chest

Head up the path leading away from the Mystic Gate and you will come across this chest.

The Mountain Collectible # 20 – Artifact

Climb down the mountain to find the artifact sitting next to a corpse.

The Mountain Collectible # 21 – Mythic Clarity Armor Set

Near the last artifact, you will find another chest, which is covered in vegetation. Use Blades of Chaos on it to burn it and open the chest.

The Mountain Collectible # 22 – Lore Marker

Head over to the mountain pass and go back to enter the mountain. This is now the story path but we are going backwards. You will find the Lore marker behind the red tree sap. You can find the spiked red ball across the bridge to blow it up and collect the Lore Marker.

The Mountain Collectible # 23 – Nornir Chest

This chest is placed on the story path in the same area where you pick the red spiked ball. To open this chest, you need to destroy three runes in the same area. The first is located in the room which is blocked by some more red tree sap. It is in the dark. Throw another spiked red ball at it to blow it open. You will find the rune inside.

The next one is located across the bridge while the last one is located at the top of the bridge so you will need to raise the bridge and then freeze it using the axe to break the seal. Once all three runes are broken, head back to the chest and open it.

The Mountain Collectible # 24 – Artifact

Keep going back on the story path. Cross the dark corridor and climb down. You will find a corpse with the artifact.

The Mountain Collectible # 25 – Legendary Chest

In the same area, climb down further and you will find a Legendary Chest.

The Mountain Collectible # 26 – Shop

This is Sindri’s shop unlocked automatically while playing the story. It is unlocked right after the boss battle with the Dragon.

For the next set of collectibles, you need to head back to the summit. All these collectibles are located in the outside area on top of the mountain.

The Mountain Collectible # 27 – Language Cipher

While you are heading back to the mountain, while you are on the mountain pass, if you are careful you will find a hidden passageway that you can climb down onto. This is between the place where Mimir was trapped and the location of a Lore marker previously explained above as collectible number 22. Climb down from here and you will get to the chest.

The Mountain Collectible # 28 – Realm Tear Encounter

This is located right next to the Language Cipher mentioned above.

The Mountain Collectible # 29 – Shop

This shop is located next to the last collectible accessible via the hidden mountain passage. Sindri owns it.

The Mountain Collectible # 30 – Mythic Clarity Armor Set

This chest is located right next to the hidden Sindri’s shop mentioned above.

The Mountain Collectible # 31 – Artifact

Keep going straight from the shop and push against the wall. This will allow you to walk over to the other side of the area. You will find another artifact here.

The Mountain Collectible # 32 – Mythic Clarity Armor Set

Keep heading straight after collecting the last artifact until you come to some red tree sap. Pick up the spiked ball and use it to blow open the sap. Use the revealed crate to gain access to the chest sitting at the top.

The Mountain Collectible # 33 – Lore Marker

Jump back down and follow the path until you reach the end where you will see the big elevator. Instead of taking the elevator, find some wooden boards near it and lift Atreus up so he can drop down a chain for you. Climb up and you will find the Lore Marker at the end of the path.

The Mountain Collectible # 34 – Legendary Chest

Right after the Lore Marker, an Ogre will ambush you. Kill the Ogre and look for the gate behind it. A chest is located behind this gate. To open this gate, you will be required to find and place Winds of Hel in the right socket. Go back down and use your Blades of Chaos to get a Winds of Hel holder by destroying it. Grab it and head back to the chain.

Destroy the barrier located next to the chain and you will reveal the Winds of Hel location. Use the Blades to transfer them to the portable holder that you brought up here. Now climb the chain, get the Winds of Hel in your blades, and run to the Ogre spawn location. Put the Winds of Hel in the socket to lift the gate and open the chest.
