Rockstar Games has planned to release a big summer update for Red Dead Online, the online game mode in Red Dead Redemption 2. The update is set to arrive next week on September 10 and will be available on all platforms that support the game.
The update is titled as Summer Update and it comes with a lot of content, though summer is almost over as we head into fall. Nonetheless, fans of the game will now get a lot of new challenges, items, dynamic events, and other gameplay improvements. It was also previously announced that new specialized roles will also be coming in the game soon. It seems that the new Summer Update will indeed contain the three new specialized roles for players to try.
When talking about challenges, Rockstar plans to add new Daily Challenges and Daily Role Challenges. New items will also provide something new and fresh for players to buy, equip or even store in their inventory. The update is also going to make things easier to reset your character’s appearance among other gameplay improvements.
All things said the biggest addition will the new specialized roles that are coming in the update. Rockstar plans to add three new specialist roles that include the Bounty Hunter, Trader, and a Collector.
If you decide to become a Bounty Hunter, your life will be filled with action on both sides of the law. As a licensed Bounty Hunter, you will be able to track down your targets and capture them. Killing them or taking them back to the law is up to your choice. Progression in this specialist role will give you items like a reinforced lasso for extra tough targets, as well as intricate gun-spinning tricks and advanced tracking skills like the ability to use Eagle-Eye while sprinting, galloping on horseback and many other special skills, items and upgrades.
The life of a Trader is perfect for increase capital as you establish and develop a business from your Camp. You will be able to take on new opportunities to collect materials and produce valuable goods to sell. You can increase your skill as a Trader by unlocking the ability to upgrade your Camp with Weapons Locker, Stew Pot and allow any canine companion to look out for attacks.
Lastly, if you decide to be a Collector, your job is to explore the world for rare and valuable items. Look for a mystic traveling saleswoman in the wild to get started down the Collector’s path, searching for lost jewelry, rare arrowheads and other treasures to sell as individual pieces or highly valuable sets.
