The first thing you need to do is to go to the location where you will come across a high-level knight. This is the Trove Guardian that is quite tough to beat and is best fought with more players in your team.
After you have successfully defeated the Trove Guardian, a new message will start appearing that will tell you about the hidden pathways that have just started showing up. These are long black rocks that seem to be levitating above the ground. Climb atop the first one that shows up and walk all the way to the end of it. Look forward and another ramp will start appearing in front of you.
Continue jumping across all the platforms that appear, and it will lead you straight towards the last platform that has the hidden chest at the end of it. Be careful as it is easy to fall down, and you might have to start all over again from the first rock platform.
