Dragon Quest XI S Beginner’s Guide
Below we have detailed everything you need to know about the game as a beginner.
Skills
You can unlock various skills for your characters in the game. Skills give you various abilities and buffs that increase your power or make you better in combat. Unlocking certain skills require you to collect Skill Points.
Skill Points can be obtained when you level up your character. When unlocking skills, it is best to have a balanced party of characters. Instead of going for all power skills, you can balance them out with supporting skills as well.
Have a Balanced Team
The game will put you up to the test against all types of enemies. This is where you should be aware of the type of character you are including in your party and the skills that you unlock and equip for them.
You should also have a balanced team where you have attackers and others that give you boost to your part. Make use of the various weapons that the game offers, where you can take multiple enemies out at once.
Other than the smaller enemies, you also have to fight the mean bosses that you will encounter. Make sure you have the right type of skills to take down the bosses and prepare before you go for the battle.
Pepping Up
Pep is the new addition in the game that comes in place of the tension that was previously known in the game. Pep powers give you special abilities that you can activate in certain characters when they are pepped up.
Pep increases a little bit of your character stats. The buff can vary from character to character and will increase the power or efficiency of a character’s moves, spells or attacks. You can also learn abilities from a character skill grid to make your Pep Powers better.
Make Use of The Fun-Size Forge
The Fun-Size Forge allows you to craft many items like armor, weapons and other gear. This makes things easier and a lot quicker for you when you want to craft an item of your choice.
The Fun-Size Forge can be used at Camps where you can engage in crafting your own item. You need to get resources, and then use the forge to play the mini-game that it has when forging the item. The quality of items that you craft will heavily depend on how good you hammer at the right time.
