How to Get Fishing Rod
The fishing rod is obtained well into the main story progression of the game. The fishing rod can be obtained from a fishing shop that will be near the Man Yuan Temple. This temple can be accessed when one of the missions requires you to go to the Ternary Spring.
When you are on the way to Ternary Spring, you need to go to the Village Square, and then to the Man Yuan Temple. This location will have a fishing shop called Huang’s Tackle. This shop allows you to enter a fishing competition, or rent a fishing rod for a day. You don’t get to keep the fishing rod for more than a day, but you can come here multiple times to get the fishing rod.
How to Fish
To start fishing, you need to find a lake or a water body that has a sign that indicates that you can fish here. You will find many such locations all around the map. The signs are indications that you can fish nearby.
Once you are ready to start, cast the line in the water, and wait for the fish to bite. Once it does bite, start reeling in and turn to the direction wherever the fish drags towards. The fish might turn left or right, which will be indicated by the blue indicator. Keep reeling the line until you have caught the fish.
