Codemasters Slightly Mad Studios

Project Cars developer Slightly Mad Studios has been acquired by Codemasters. Both companies are known for making racing car gaming titles like Formula 1, Dirt Rally, and Project Cars.

Codemasters has said that they have bought Slightly Mad for $30 million. This was stated in the official announcement that was posted on the website. Frank Sagnier, the chief executive officer at Codemasters posted the statement talking about the acquisition.

Slightly Mad Studios also came out with their own announcement, where the Founder of the studio and the current chief executive Ian Bell talked about the team’s excitement to take advantage of emerging platforms and technology.

Frank Sagnier will retain his position as the CEO of Codemasters, while the founder of Slightly Mad Studios Ian Bell will keep his position as the CEO and Founder of Slightly Mad. It will be interesting to see what new titles both these companies can produce together. Both Formula 1 and the Project Cars series of games have their loyal fan following, and rightfully so as the games have been really good over the years.
