Polyphony Digital has released the Christmas update for GT Sport and the update v1.53 adds seven brand new cars along with a new track Laguna Seca to the game. Similar to previous updates, the latest update is also free of charge and players can access the new cars and the track in the game without paying a dime. However, they will need to purchase the cars with in-game CR just like always.
This update is really special because out of the seven cars, three of the new cars are Safety Cars while the track Laguna Seca is also one of the most demanded tracks of fans for a long time. This track has been part of the Gran Turismo franchise since Gran Turismo 2 and has now finally arrived in Polyphony’s latest GT title as well. The seven new cars added to the game include:
- Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Safety Car
- Toyota Crown Safety Car
- Renault Sport Megane RS Trophy Safety Car
- 1976 Volkswagen Golf Mk1 GTI (N10)
- 2013 Toyota Crown Athlete (N300)
- 1995 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera RS Clubsport (N300)
- 2017 Ford GT (N700)
All seven cars are now available in GT Sport along with the brand new track Laguna Seca. The three Safety Cars will be available in the Mileage Exchange section of the game whereas the remaining four cars will be available in the dealership for players to acquire them with CR. The safety cars will start to appear in the mileage exchange from December 24, 2019.
Coming to the new track, fans would be glad to know that the update also brings its Circuit Experience as well as Scapes spots based on Laguna Seca. In GT League, Beginner Z Heritage, Amateur Super Formula, and Professional Midship Series also add Laguna Seca as a brand new track in them. There is plenty of Laguna Seca racing now added to GT Sport. The update also brings other changes and updates here and there across the entire game.
