Modern Warfare Season 2 Update Brings New Maps, Teases Battle Royale

Modern Warfare Season 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has just launched its Season 2 that saw the addition of new maps, weapons, and two additional operators. However, the most interesting feature was the battle royale tease that Infinity Ward showed in a trailer.

The trailer released hinted the battle royale mode, which admittedly is the most requested mode in the game for a long time. Take a look at the trailer below:

The season 2 brings five new maps, in which the four of them can be played at launch. The new maps are:

  • Atlas Superstore
  • Zhokov
  • Rust
  • Bazaar
  • Khandor Hideout (Coming later in the season)

However, the most talked thing about this season is the return of the Ghost operator in the game. This Operator can be unlocked by getting the Season 2 Battle Pass and is unlocked pretty much instantly as he sits at Tier 1 of the battle pass. We also have news about two new additional operators called Talon and Mace will be coming in Season 2 as well, but their release dates have not been confirmed as of yet.

Season 2 also brings in new multiplayer modes, which include the Gunfight Tournaments and the CDL Playlist that is available on launch. As the season progresses, we will also be getting the Infected Ground War. In this mode, you will b fighting hordes of infected players. Other modes that will be coming as well are NVG Reinforce, Gunfight Variants, and more.

Lastly, the weapons this season is bringing are the Striker 45 SMG and the Grau 5.56 assault rifle that will be available on launch day. The SMG sits at tier 31 and the assault rifle at tier 15 in the battle pass.
