How to Beat Marauder
The Marauder is a boss that comes with three different attacks with different ranges. The boss will use any attack depending on how close or how far you are. For close-range combat, Marauder will use his shotgun to fire at you. If you are far away, he will send forth a quick red wave that darts at you. On the other hand, if you are in the medium range, the Marauder will want to melee attack with his axe.
Your strategy in this boss battle is to remain in the mid-range for combat. This is because the only weakness that this boss has is when he depends on his mid-ranged Axe swing. This attack is also indicated by the flash of green light that shoots from the Marauder’s eyes indicating the incoming attack. Firing off right when his eyes flash green is the only way you can deal damage.
The best weapon for this fight is to use the Super Shotgun, as it deals the maximum amounts of damage and using any sort of Super Weapons will be useless in this fight. The Marauder is excellent in defending itself by using his shield, and the only vulnerability it shows is when his eyes flash green and he is about to swing his axe over his head.
You also have to deal with smaller enemies that not only help the boss but also help you in getting health and ammo in return for Glory Kills that you perform on them. Keep a move on and always stay in the mid-range from the boss to trigger his axe swing attack. Wait for the green flashing eyes and then fire off your Super Shotgun to deal damage.
Repeat this process until the Marauder gets weaker over time. In the end, the boss will start flashing, indicating that you can finish him with a Glory Kill to mark the end of this battle.
