Fortnite Battle Royale players will soon be able to use Rifts whenever they want with the new portable Rift-to-Go item. This item was teased in the in-game message board, also mentioning about it  as a rift that you can carry in your pocket and teleport above your current location.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play 100 player mode in Fortnite. The game has one large map where 100 random players drop in; collect resources, build forts, and fight to be the last man standing. Fortnite is currently in the middle of the fifth season and Epic has been adding a lot of items and new challenges to keep the game interesting and engaging.

Rift-to-Go Pre Release Details

Rift-to Go is shown to be shaped like a snow globe with the power of teleportation rift that works by you throwing the item on the ground and jumping in to transport above your location. Although it will most likely be a consumable item, we still have to see if it will work any different from the rifts found around the map. Full details are yet to be given about the item, so it is still unclear how the specifics of it work other than knowing it will transport you above your current location.

From what we can make from it, the item appears to be somewhat similar to Jump Pad, as its main functionality is used by players to quickly move from location to location. But what makes Rift-to-Go a little different is that it will have some advantage over the Jump Pad. When players use the Jump Pad, they are instantly shot up over their current location, but with Rift-to Go, the teleportation aspect will give enemies less of a chance to shoot at you position as you teleport.
