Codemasters Shares First Look at Zandvoort Circuit in F1 2020 Game

F1 2020 Zandvoort

After revealing the F1 2020 game last month, Codemasters has just given us the first look at the Circuit Park Zandvoort in the Netherlands. The track was set to be featured in the official season of Formula 1, however, the race has now been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

If not in real life, we may finally get to see the track in the game at least. A gameplay trailer featuring the track can be seen below:

Zandvoort is the first of two new tracks that are being featured in the F1 2020 game. Codemasters teamed with the Red Bull Racing’s Dutch driver Max Verstappen who raced along the track situated in his home country. The track is most famous for the steeply banked curves that really sets it apart from any other track in the Formula 1 calendar.

Considering that real Formula 1 season for this year has been in the halts, the game can be a welcome addition to fans and the Formula 1 drivers alike. With the recent VirtualGP races featuring real Formula 1 drivers like Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, George Russel, Alex Albon, and Jenson Button, we might get to see the VirtualGP continue all throughout the year after the release of F1 2020.

New features included in the game are two-player split-screen, and a new career mode called My Team. This is a new mode will allow you to become the driver-manager of a team. This feature is something totally new in the series and seems to be the most interesting new addition so far. The game will also have different customizable options that are designed for newcomers. The settings can be matched to a player’s expertise and will work in both F1 and F2 racing modes.
