Nvidia Releases New Teaser For Upcoming GPUs

Nvidia Teaser GPUs

NVIDIA has released a teaser on its Twitter account regarding a mysterious product, which may most probably be the new line of Ampere RTX GPUs. NVIDIA posted a very short video clip of a star going supernova, which didn’t offer much detail about the product. The tweet description had an ‘#UltimateCountdown’.

NVIDIA posted the mysterious tweet from its GeForce Twitter account. They have also updated their banner image with another teaser image. The banner image provides a little more detail than the video and mentions the line “21 days, 21 years.”.

All these teasers suggest that NVIDIA is planning a very big announcement and that we may see that announcement in 21 days which is 31st August. All this comes in line with the rumors, which suggested that NVIDIA will announce their new line of RTX Ampere GPUs in late August. The company might be planning to launch its new Ampere graphics cards on September 9th, with the announcement coming earlier on August 31st.

NVIDIA may be making this announcement after Gamescom, which is taking place online this year and will span from 27th to 30th August. It is rumored that NVIDIA will reveal the RTX 3080Ti and the RTX 3080 first, which will be the successors to the current top lineup of RTX 2000 series cards.

Another speculation about the new teaser is that NVIDIA may be planning a celebration for its first GeForce card, which was released 21 years ago in 1999. So, it could simply be a timer for an anniversary celebration. However, with how the rumors have been rumbling recently, NVIDIA may most likely do a 2-in-1 by releasing the new Ampere series RTX cards on the 21st anniversary of their first GeForce series card.

NVIDIA revealed the Ampere GPU architecture back in May, but it didn’t consist of any consumer-grade cards. But with the leaks and rumors, the Ampere series for mainstream use is not that far.
