After yesterday’s announcement of a brand new title reveal at Gamescom 2020 Opening Night Live by Modus Games, the publisher has revealed Override 2: Super Mech League. Announced as a competitive arena brawler, Override 2: Super Mech League will feature hyper-powerful, towering mechs and will release on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in December 2020. The game will have a standard edition along with a Deluxe Edition that will include the season pass.

Modus Games has also opened the registrations for the closed beta and all you need to do is head over to the official website of the game and sign up for the closed beta. The beta will take place exclusively on Steam. Additional details about the closed beta will be revealed in the coming days. The publisher has also hinted at an exciting IP crossover coming this September however no further details have been shared at this point about the crossover.

According to the official press release, Modus Studios is installing massive upgrades to the series’ signature balance of accessible design and deeply rewarding combat to another level. The game will feature an all-new Career Mode that will lead the additions and it will also allow the players to build a reputation for their own Club as they pummel their way to the top of Mech Leagues. The game will bring additional characters increasing the roster to 20 bots where each bot is unique and charming in its own way.

The arenas will be speckled with game-changing hazards including pools of lava and geysers so players will need to fight the other players while keeping an eye out on the arena as well. With a wealth of game modes including multiplayer ranked rumbles, Xenoswarm, King of the Hill and more along with a huge collection of unlockable cosmetics, the game will offer tons of fun to players of a diverse skillset.
