CI Games has shared an in-engine teaser for Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 that sets the stage of one of the most important gameplay changes coming in the upcoming title. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will feature extremely long-range sniping and the new teaser trailer shows a small taste of this new mechanic that you will be using in the full game when it comes out this winter.
When the first title in the series came out, long-range sniping was one of the most demanded features by the community and the developers listened to the feedback and are now delivering the much-requested feature in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2. The teaser revealed today reveals a sniper shot taken from 1,506 meters away and gives us a good look at how the mechanic will work in the full release.
Supporting this brand-new mechanic, the developer has also added more accurate weapons, heightened realism, and enhanced visuals to the game prior to its release. Check out the teaser trailer below:
CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski said:
The Sniper community really enjoyed the changes we made with Contracts and the sniper’s paradise sandboxes but based on their feedback, we designed the latest game with very long-range shots in mind. We hope to continue building on the best sniping gameplay around and make significant steps forward in bringing modern, realistic sniping experience to consoles and PC. Our team is really excited to introduce the extreme range campaign in Contracts 2.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 takes the proven formula of Contracts and further builds upon it. The first game was very well received by the community however the developer still listened to fan feedback and now the most-demanded features are coming to Contracts 2. The game features a much more modern setting and adds long-range maps that will let you play around long-distance sniping and will test the skills of the most-skilled snipers.
Additional details about the game will be shared in the coming months as the game release date draws near.
