AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is Up to 25% Faster than Ryzen 9 3900X, Leaked Benchmarks Reveal

More leaks have started to surface for the upcoming Ryzen 9 5900. The latest leak suggests that the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is Up to 25% Faster than Ryzen 9 3900X. The alleged benchmarks show the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X which will be a 12 core and 24 thread processor has massive performance gains on its predecessor.

The leaks were shared by Twitter User @9550pro who spotted a CPU-z screenshot of a 12 core and 24 thread AMD CPU running the single and multi-threaded tests. The screenshot showed the AMD processor with a name string of 100-000000061-08 string and the processor had a 12 core and 24 thread configuration, which is the same as the Ryzen 9 3900X.

According to the leaked benchmark, the supposed Ryzen 9 5900X scored 652.8 points in the single-core test which is 27% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and up to 25% faster than the Ryzen 9 3900X. There is no information about the clock speeds for the leaked chip but according to recent rumors, the Zen 3 based processor will have a clock speed around the 5 GHz mark.

As for Multithreaded performance, the alleged AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU scored a total of 9481 points which is a huge 75% gain over the Ryzen 7 3700X & a 15% improvement over the Ryzen 9 3900X. These number bode well for the upcoming Ryzen 5000 desktop processors. The AMD Ryzen 5000 series lineup based on Zen 3 core architecture and AMD says that will vast IPC improvements and other changes as well.

AMD’s Zen 3 architecture is a big leap from the original Zen architecture. It will completely revamp the design and the changes focus on three key features of which include significant IPC gains, faster clocks, and higher efficiency. The AMD Ryzen 5000 series lineup is officially set to be unveiled on the 8th of October.
