This Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Field Upgrades Guide will show you all of the new Field Upgrades that you can use in the game. Field Upgrades make a return in the new game after being introduced in the previous title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Field Upgrades are special items that you can equip in a dedicated slot of the player. These items give you a tactical advantage over the opponent, which come either as weapons or items that give you the upper hand over the enemy. Once you have equipped a Field Upgrade in the slot, you can use it multiple times. However, each usage of the item comes with a short cooldown period before you can use it again. This is just to make the game a little fair and to balance the combat system.
The Field Upgrades in this guide are taken from the beta of the game, which is where there are only a handful of Field Upgrades detailed in this guide. More Field Upgrades might be added once the game fully launches.
