Ryzen 5 5600X Benchmarks

AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X has taken the top position in the single-threaded performance charts in the PassMark benchmark list and this is a big victory for the Zen 3 bases chips which promised big IPC improvements. The ranking was spotted by Videocardz and now Ryzen 5 5600X currently holds the top position in the PassMark single-threaded benchmark list.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X will be going up against Intel’s Core i5-10600K which even exceeds the single-threaded performance of the Core i9-10900K which is very impressive. Currently, the 5600X is the first Zen3 processor to be listed in the PassMark list from the four SKUs announced. The 5600X scored 3495 points, while the top 10th Gen Core ‘Comet Lake-S’ CPU – the i9-10900K – scored 3177 points, meaning that the mid-range Ryzen CPU offers 10% better performance.

Compared to its Zen 2 predecessors, the 3600XT, and the 3600X, the Ryzen 5 5600X scores a 23-24% lead while compared to its competition, the Core i5-10600K, the CPU has a big lead of 22%.

The Ryzen 5 5600X will cost 50$ more than the Ryzen 5 3600X / Ryzen 5 3600XT but at the same time, the CPU will deliver much higher performance in both single and multi-threaded workloads and also more efficient as well, consuming less power.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is a 6 core and 12 thread CPU. The CPU is marketed to be the best 6 core processor in the market for gamers with its impressive clock speeds of 3.7 GHz base and 4.6 GHz boost clocks. The chip features a total of 36 MB of cache and a TDP of 65W. The CPU is expected to be priced at $299.

The Ryzen 5 5600X will release along with the other announced Zen 3 desktop chips on November 5th.
