When the species are near the Snak Trap, then light over the wristwatch will change from white to blue, and you will also hear a ping that will indicate that the prey is near the trap. You will have to time it perfectly to activate the trap. Once the Bugsnax is in the trap, you will need to rush and catch it as the timer will start. If the timer runs out, then the Bugsnax will escape the trap.
Upgrade Your Snakpack Backpack
With time you will be gathering more and more Bugsnax, and in order to catch further, you will need to take the help of captured ones and make room for them. So, you will need to feed the Bugsnax.
Now the question comes what you need to do to upgrade the backpack? When Gramble returns, then you will find him in Swimmering springs and complete a quest “Empty Nest.” For this, you will need to donate 6 Bugsnax to his barn. When the task is completed, then the Snackpack will be upgraded. For more upgrades, you will need to donate more Bugsnax, and more space will be allocated.
Luring Sauce
The sauces become necessary to lure the Bugsnax and then capture them. You can easily find the sauces over the flower patches that will be near the Bugsnax. Sometimes, those flowers will not have that much sauce, so you will need to gather more, and for that, you will need to explore more.
You will need to set up a small form in town that Wambus will run, and whenever you need the sauce for some purpose, by that time, Wambus will have that sauce ready. So, it will be best that you keep stocking all the sauces once you return to town for a visit.
What should you do before the quests and the boss fights?
Well, the best thing that you can do is to interview everyone as it is one of your main quests to interview everyone on the island. After some time, they will begin to give you side quest once you bring a new Grumpus back to Snaxburg. These side quests have nothing to do with the main story as it will open some more side stories, and even Chandlo, Cromdo, Snorpy, and Wiggle will lead them to an optional boss fight.
How will you come to know that a certain Bugsnax is unavailable?
You will not be able to capture all the Bugsnax, and you can study them from Bugapedia. It will show each and every detail of how many of them existed before and in which region of the game. The region might not be visible as sometimes it can be hidden from the map. If you cannot find the critter when you are visiting that area, then you need to look for the signs.
