Racing Party Game Rocket Rumble Revealed, Closed Beta Coming Later This Year

Indie developer PixelNAUTS has revealed their brand-new racing party game Rocket Rumble slated for Early Access release next year. The game will first release in Early Access on PC and the developers have announced an early 2021 window for the title. Rocket Rumble is a 2-4 player party game and combines the best parts of combat racing and fast-paced action fighting games.

The game features a charming cast of animals in rocket suits who smash and bash their way across the finish line. The game offers single-screen, online multiplayer, and action-packed combat across 9 different obstacle courses. You will be racing through an Asteroid Mine, Star Forest, situated amidst a Galactic Battle, and through a dangerous Space Reef where you will need to avoid asteroids, machines, lasers, creatures, and plant life. You will have the option of choosing from 8 different animals and customizing them according to your unique playstyle.

The game gives you the freedom to customize your games as you select your tracks, and custom playlists and can even create a full championship for longer gaming sessions. Smaller modifications such as rules, items, and speed of the game can also be modified. During the races, you will have many power-ups at your disposal to use against your enemies such as bombs, rockets, and EMPs. If you prefer a more old-style approach, you can also lasso your enemies and throw them around while deflecting incoming attacks with a powerful plasma shield.

At launch, the game will have 9 space-themed courses PixelNAUTS has also announced that the game will have a closed beta later this year. Additional details about the closed beta and the game will be released in the coming months leading to the full launch of the title.
