Below we have detailed how to defeat Royce in the game.

How to Defeat

When you have talked to Meredith Stout in the quest and taken the money chip from her, continue with the quest until you reach the Food Procession Plant. This is where you will face Royce for a battle.

Royce has powerful weapons on him that he uses in this fight. The range these weapons provide does not require him to chase you around. This is both a good and a bad thing for you, as the boss does not overwhelm you with attacks and you can go ahead with your own pace.

However, the bad things is that you need to get close to deal enough damage, or waste ammo by shooting from a distance. Royce is also guarded by shields which adds to your problems and requires you to get closer. His attacks have a powerful laser that swipes from one side to the other, while also firing rockers.

Your best weapon in this fight is the shotgun which is to be used to destroy the battery on his back. This of course means that you have to get close to him, taking cover behind objects, and sliding behind him to shoot at the battery pack. Doing this a few times will ensure that is weakened enough to continue with your normal attacks. Take plenty of cover behind the objects and continue shooting at Royce to deplete his health.
