Gato Salvaje Studio has released the very first winter update for their myth-filled RPG The Waylanders based on community feedback. This is the first update of the three planned for the game in winters. The latest update is a Community Update as it brings significant changes to combat and character equipment based on the immense community feedback that the developer received since the title’s Early Access release.
The Waylanders Creative Director, Serio Prieto detailed:
Since our Early Access launch, we’ve been talking with players and listening to their feedback in our Discord, Steam community forums, and on social media. We’ve included quite a few suggestions on how to improve our game in previous updates, but today’s release is entirely focused on community feedback. Combat has been overhauled to feel more intuitive and tactical, character levels now give bigger leaps in progression, and the equipment you use will have more of an impact. We’ll continue to keep these conversations going with the community and you’ll see more improvements in coming updates.
In addition to the new gameplay and equipment changes, the new update brings improvements to game cinematics, new cutscenes, quests, combat, and over 150 various bug fixes. Along with this, additional UI information for abilities, companions, classes, and more have also been added to the game. The new update is now live for everyone and you can update your game right now to check out the new additions, fixes, and changes to the game. As you can see from the roadmap, the latest Community Update is the first of three planned updates during the winter season. After this update, another update is slated to arrive in January which will continue to implement community feedback in the game, add new character origins to the game, introduce a brand-new photo mode and add localization for the game in Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French, German, Simplified Chinese, Russian, and Galician.
