Below we have detailed how to fast travel in Valheim.

How to Teleport

As mentioned above, teleporting requires you to build Portals from one point to the other. However, to unlock this feature, you first need to defeat the first boss of the game. Following the boss battle and after you come out victorious, talk to the crow and then head to the Black Forest region.

As you enter this area, you will find skeletons outside the entrance of the dungeons. Inside you will find surtling cores, which is one of the ingredients required to make the portal. The items required to make a portal are 2 surtling cores, 25 fine wood, and 10 greydwarf eyes.

The first portal you make should always be in your base, which ensures that you end up close to your home and the materials you have store din them. With additional materials in hand for the other portal, go to the workbench and make the other end of the portal to any destination you prefer. Once both ends of the portals are constructed, you can use it to fast travel.

You can make multiple portals depending on the materials you have in hand. However, Portals stop you from carrying valuable items to teleport them. Other than the basic items, you can check your inventory to find out what items can pass through the portals when you use them to teleport.
