State of Play February 2021

2021 is off to a slow start in terms of games and we have only played a handful of releases so far despite PS5 and Xbox Series releasing last year. However, as the year progresses, we are getting more and more titles along with digital conferences. Nintendo started its year by having a Nintendo Direct last week and now Sony has held its very first State of Play of 2021 in February 2021 and showcased plenty of decent announcements, trailers, updates, and news on its upcoming titles of the year.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time PS5 Features Trailer

The event started with a short trailer of Crash Bandicoot 4: Its’s About Time detailing all of the next-gen upgrades of the game. The PS5 version is releasing on March 12, 2021. Check it out below:

Returnal Gameplay Trailer

HOUSEMARQUE shared a new trailer for their upcoming title Returnal showcasing gameplay from the title. Returnal is releasing on PS5 on April 30, 2021. It is linked below:

Knockout City

Velan Studio shared their latest title Knockout City for the PS4 which is slated for release on May 21, 2021, and supports cross-play dodgeball gameplay. Check out the trailer below:

Sifu

Sloclap revealed their brand-new title SIFU which is slated to arrive on the PS5 and PS4 in 2021. It is an intense hand-to-hand combat game where you jump in the shoes of a young Kung-fu student who is on a revenge path. Sloclap is the developer behind Absolver. Solar Ash Gameplay Reveal

Heart Machine officially revealed the gameplay of their epic, new adventure game Solar Ash. Check it out below:

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach Gameplay Reveal

Steel Wool Studios showcased its brand-new title in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise called Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. It is slated for release sometime in 2021. Check it out below:

Oddworld: Soulstorm

Oddworld Inhabitants also shared new details of their upcoming title Oddworld: Soulstorm. It is slated for launch on the PS5 on April 16, 2021. Active PS Plus members will get the game for free. Check it out below:

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

After its debut during Sony’s event last June, we now have a fresh showcase of Sony’s upcoming story-driven action-adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits. It is slated for release on August 24, 2021, and pre-orders are now open for the title. Check it out below:

Arcane shared a fresh look at its upcoming first-person shooter Deathloop. Check it out below:

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Last year’s Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to PS5 as Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and will feature visual enhancements and a brand-new episode featuring Yuffie as the main character and many other gameplay additions to the game. It will release on June 10, 2021, and everyone who owns a PS4 copy of the game can upgrade to the PS5 version for free.. Check out the reveal trailer below:
