SOEDESCO has announced a PC version of its highly popular truck sim game Truck Driver after its console debut. Truck Driver was originally released on PS4 and Xbox One back in 2019 and after that, the game was released on Nintendo Switch in 2020. Now, the publisher has announced that a PC version of Truck Driver is currently under development by Kokku who is responsible for all the patchwork of the console release.
SOEDESCO joined hands with Kokku back in 2019 after the choppy launch of Truck Driver on PS4 and Xbox One and since then, the developer has made significant improvements to the game including a brand-new engine, plenty of new features, improved AI traffic, and tons of bug fixes. The game is now in a much better state than it was as compared to its launch. The PC version of Truck Driver was originally announced back in 2019 as well however it was later pushed into 2020 and after a year of silence, we now know that it is finally under development.
The developer still has announced a confirmed release date for the PC release of Truck Driver however we can expect it to come out sometime later in 2021 if there is not another delay. Bas de Jonge, Senior Marketing Manager at SOEDESCO commented:
With this strategic decision, we show our commitment to the development of Truck Driver. This also ensures that we can bring the game to more platforms without sacrificing attention for the existing versions.
The most recent platform to receive Truck Driver was Nintendo Switch where the game also received some free DLC recently. Truck Driver follows your journey of becoming a professional truck driver as you inherit a truck from your father and move into a new city. You meet with locals, establish your reputation and take on professional trucking jobs.
