FIFA 22 will come powered by HyperMotion which will combine advanced 11v11 Match Capture and proprietary machine learning technology to deliver the most realistic, fluid, and responsive football experience for next-gen consoles and Stadia. The game will allow you to unlock the raw emotion, passion, and physicality of the world’s game.
According to EA, HyperMotion technology has allowed the first-ever motion capture of 22 professional footballers playing at high intensity. Additionally, EA’s proprietary machine-learning algorithm learns from more than 8.7 million frames of advanced match capture and then writes new animations in real-time to create organic football movement across a variety of interactions on the pitch. Everything ranging from a shot, pass, or cross is transformed by HyperMotion technology and it determines how players move on and off the ball.
Nick Wlodyka, GM, EA SPORTS FIFA said:
FIFA 22 offers millions of fans around the world a chance to engage with the sport they love in an unprecedented way, Each player experiences FIFA in their own way but on-pitch gameplay is the unifying constant, so we’re excited to offer deep innovation there. HyperMotion elevates that even further on next-gen consoles and Stadia and completely changes the feel of the game.
FIFA 22 also offers deep and innovative features across other parts of gameplay. There are no new modes in the game this time around however improvements have been made all around to existing game modes including Career Mode, VOLTA FOOTBALL, Pro Clubs, and FIFA Ultimate Team. The game features a complete rebuild of the goalkeeper system along with reimagined gameplay in VOLTA FOOTBALL and the introduction of FIFA ULTIMATE Team Heroes.
EA details that additional details about all of the innovations done in the game will be revealed later this summer. The game’s cover is last year’s Paris Saint-Germain striker and global football icon Kylian Mbappé. On landing the game’s cover page again, Kylian Mbappé said:
Being on back-to-back FIFA covers is amazing. I have a very special relationship with the game and look forward to enjoying FIFA 22 alongside all of you.
The game will feature over 17,000+ players over 700+ teams, 90 stadiums, and over 30 leagues, making the latest FIFA title a meaty one. The world’s most iconic events such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, brand-new UEFA Europa Conference League, Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander, CONMEBOL Libertadores, and CONMEBOL Sudamericana will also be part of the game where players can take part with their favorite teams.
All pre-orders for FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition will receive an untradeable FUT Heroes player item from December 1, 2021. The Ultimate Edition will also grant players up to four days of Early Access, Dual Entitlement, FIFA Points, and much more. Additional details can be checked out on the pre-order page.
