A lot of things came out in the recent Nintendo Direct presentation. From new games, and remasters, accessories and features for the Nintendo Switch, were all shown in the event. Trailers of games that are coming this fall and winter, while new games expected to release in 2019 were all shown to fans across the world.
There was a lot of content that was featured in the event, so much that it can be overwhelming to keep up. Lucky for you, we have all the details of the best things to come out of Nintendo Direct, so you don’t have to feel left out if you missed anything.
Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch Releasing 2019
This can be the biggest news for some or even the best news for Animal Crossing fans. The new title in the series of Animal Crossing is in production as confirmed by the beloved character of the game, Isabelle.
The trailer showed Nintendo teasing us with Isabelle getting an invitation to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, while hinting at the end that a game is in the works. However, there is no confirmed date other than this little teaser video, but if we look at the pattern of earlier releases, it can be expected to be released sometime between Fall/Winter of 2019.
Final Fantasy Remastered Classic Games Coming in 2019 for Nintendo Switch
A lot of stuff is coming over to the Nintendo Switch if we talk about Final Fantasy. Several games were already announced to come by the end of this year, but it looks like the classic games iconic to Final Fantasy are getting their remastered versions for the Nintendo Switch.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered, which was announced earlier to be coming out in 2019, joins the list with Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Everybody that are upcoming this winter.
Finally, Final Fantasy 12 is also hinted to be released in 2019, along with the classics in the series: Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 9 and Final Fantasy 10. All which are coming in 2019 on an unconfirmed date.
Luigi’s Mansion 3
The Nintendo Direct also showed a mini trailer for Luigi’s Mansion 3. In the gameplay, Luigi can be seen sneaking around in a hotel that is haunted by a housekeeping cart, as Luigi sucks up ghosts in his ghost-sucking vacuum and shoots plungers in the ghost’s face. The game is still in the works as it is expected to come out in 2019.
Over at the Nintendo 3DS a new two player mode will be arriving for the original Luigi’s Mansion on October 12. This new feature will require two people to own the game, in which one person can with a ghost version of Luigi.
Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle
Beat ‘Em Up is coming to the Nintendo Switch via Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle. The package includes:
- Final Fight
- The King of Dragons
- Captain Commando
- Knights of the Round
- Warriors of Fate
- Armored Warriors
- Battle Circuit
The gameplay will allow up to four players that can play locally or online. The game will launch on September 18 for an expected price of $19.99
New RPG by Pokémon Developer called Town
The developer behind Pokémon: Game Freak has announced a new RPG for the Nintendo Switch that is based on a village like town that has a lot of Monsters in the peaceful town.
As a town hero, you will have to fight the beast and occasionally call for the help of your neighbors to take the beasts down. Town is scheduled to come sometime in 2019.
Nintendo Online Membership Features
Nintendo has announced a paid membership for its online features that include Online play, a library full of NES games, a save cloud data, a Smartphone app that pairs with certain games, and special offers such as the new wireless NES controlled.
Service of the paid membership begins on September 18, and for a 12 months subscription, it will cost you $19.99.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch Theme Bundle
Nintendo Switch is getting an ultimate edition under the theme of Super Smash Bros. game. The bundle will have a Nintendo Switch system; download code of game and Super Smash Bros. themed joy-con controllers.
The pre-order of bundle will start soon, while the availability is listed for November 2, 2018. Nintendo also recently announced wireless NES controllers for Nintendo Switch. The controllers will cost $60 and pre-order starts this September 18, while the shipment will start later in December.
Nintendo Direct All Other Games that were Announced
While the above games and items were all the highlights of the presentation, a ton of more news was announced including the following games:
Starlink: Battle for Atlas – October 16, 2018
Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an upcoming open world action adventure game that takes you 400 light years away from Earth, to the Atlas star system. Your team is called the Starlink Initiative to fight enemies called the Forgotten Legion in the star system that are creating havoc.
The game is scheduled to release for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and the Xbox One on October 16, 2018.
Warframe – November 20, 2018
Warframe, a free to play game which is the most popular free game on PC, is set to arrive for the Nintendo Switch on November 20.
The game is a Sci-Fi shooter where groups of up o four players can carry out mission to defend an alternative future of our own solar system. It is most notable for having a fast parkour paced game, well crafter combat, and variety of playstyles.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – December 7, 2018
Super Smash Bros. was the first to come in this series back in 1999, this title set the tone for the game that is beloved to many players and has continued to be successful series in the Nintendo world.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is scheduled for a release on December 7, 2018 and will come exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 – November 16, 2018
2K Games has announced that Civilization VI for the Nintendo Switch is coming on November 16, 2018. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will have the latest game updates and improvements, four pieces of additional content which adds four new civilizations, leaders and scenarios.
The new scenarios that are coming in the update are Vikings pack, Poland pack, Persia and Macedon pack and Australia pack. The game also features 24 different leaders that include Cleopatra of Egypt, Trajan of Rome and Hojo Tokimune of Japan.
