How to Get Gunpowder in Far Cry 6

This guide will show you how to get Gunpowder in Far Cry 6, which is a weapon upgrade material that most players will be looking to get their hands on as often as they can. While you can find Gunpowder when you just play the normal game and explore every corner, there are better ways that guarantee you get what you want.

Gunpowder is used to upgrade guns with mods and to craft different gadgets that the game has to offer. Let’s take a look at what are the best ways to get Gunpowder.

How to Get Gunpowder in Far Cry 6

The first method that guarantees that you obtain Gunpowder is by completing Ambushes. These are marked on the map and are highly infested with enemies. The reason behind so many guard is that they are protecting a large crate, which is what you need. Ambushes require you to take out all the enemies that are protecting the crate and then go for the loot. Completing Ambushes always gives you Gunpowder and weapon upgrading materials.

The second best way to get Gunpowder is by collecting if from Supply Drops. In total, Far Cry 6 has 20 Supply Drop in different locations on the map, giving you plenty of Gunpowder to upgrade your weapons. Having said that, the chest in this drop can only be obtained when you reach the loot before the timer ends. This is where a vehicle, preferably a helicopter will come in very handy.

Another way you can get Gunpowder is by opening FND Chests in the game. FND Chests are black and red crates that have the FND letters written on them. To find these, you need to bribe soldiers or obtain maps from military checkpoints or anti-aircraft cannons, which will then mark the white chests on your map.
