Below we have detailed how to beat Corpious, how to attack, and what are its weaknesses.

How to Beat Corpious

This boss battle progresses in three phases, where each phase is slightly different than the one before. In the first phase of the battle, Corpious will fight you head-on, menacingly pointing its long sharp tail at you. If you get too close, the tail will go for a quick swipe that can be hard to dodge. This is where you need to keep your distance and let the tail charge up for a stab. If you dodge this attack, the tail gets stuck in the ground for a brief moment, rendering the boss vulnerable.

Corpious’ weak spot is its head, which takes the most damage when accurately hit with attacks. In the first phase of the fight, you should continuously attack the boss’ head by keeping a slight distance.

In the second phase, the boss will turn invisible but will have a yellow glowing orb on its tail. You need to shoot this orb as it is not only the weak point, but the only thing that you should be hitting for the boss to turn visible again.

In the third phase of the fight, the boss will turn around, trying to hit you with its tail very close to you. You need to slide under Corpious to get on the other side and stand face to face again. All the while, you should continue with your charged and regular attacks by aiming at Corpious’ head. Occasionally, the boss will spew poison gas that stays on the ground, forcing you to go to the end of the area and climb up the wall until it diminishes on its own. Fortunately, you can still attack the boss while hanging on from above.
