How to Build a Wonder to Win Matches
Before you build a wonder, you have to make sure that you have enough resources to not only built it but to also have enough resources to defend it. This is because once you build a Wonder, enemies will immediately start attacking you. Building Keeps, Outposts, or stone walls will prevent them or slow them down enough to fail in their advances.
In addition, Keeps and Outposts come with various buffs and will take out any attacking infantry nearby.
All of this means that you not only need the resources to build a Wonder, but also to have enough defenses to make it through an attack. Stone Walls will require a lot of stones, so making sure that you gather a lot of this material from the start will come in very handy when you are ready to build a Wonder.
Another thing to look out for before you build a Wonder is to choose a land that has enough space for you to build defenses around it. Additionally, using areas that have natural areas of defenses, like thick trees will give you a free advantage as a defense.
Once you have decided to build a Wonder, your next task is to reach Age 4, which can be done by building Landmarks that progress in age. It is only at the Age 4 that you will get the option to build a Wonder, provided you have enough resources.
Each Wonder requires 3,000 each of Stone, Gold, Wood and Food. Any extra item should be sold for Gold, which can then be used to purchase the remaining resources. With the right placement of the Wonder, and with enough defenses, all you are left with is to defend the Wonder against the attacking opponents for 15 minutes to win a match.
