Aliens: Fireteam Elite Point Defense

Cold Iron Studios has announced that Season 2: Point Defense for its co-op shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite will start on December 14, 2021, for all players across all of the available platforms. Season 2: Point Defense comes after the launch of Season 1: Phalanx which was released back in September 2021. Season 2: Point Defense will release for all players on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Point Defense will include new free items for all players including a new game mode called Point Defense. This is a fast-paced alternative mode to Horde Mode that will challenge players in a new survival-based defensive match where you and your fireteam must protect, repair, and hold 3 different strategic points through multiple attack waves from the xenomorph hive.

You will be able to buy temporary consumables to even the odds by using Fabrication Points earned during the mode and can unlock up to 20 new rewards by completing the mode at various difficulties. Aliens: Fireteam Elite Season 2: Point Defense will come with the following free content:

  • New Game Mode: Point Defense.
  • New Feature: Lifetime Stats
  • New weapons, attachments, and cosmetics added to the game as Point Defense rewards or at the in-game store.
  • New challenge cards.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Point Defense

The release of Point Defense coincides with the release of the second Endeavor Pass DLC Pack, The Nostromo Salvage Pack. The Nostromo Salvage Pack emerges from a 57-year hypersleep as it contains over 20 exclusive items, including two Nostromo-themed class kit skin designs, eight weapon colors, four decals, four head accessories, four emotes, and more.

Players who already own the Deluxe Edition of the game already get the Endeavor Pass and access to all of the new incoming DLC packs. The Deluxe Edition costs $69.99 while individual Endeavor Pass cosmetic DLC packs are available separately as well and these cost $9.99 each. You can also opt for the Standard Edition which costs $39.99 with an option to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition later.
