SIE and Naughty Dog have announced the release date of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection along with additional details about the title. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is slated for release for PS5 and for the first time, PC as well. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes the single-player campaigns for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
According to the latest blog post, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will release first on PS5 on January 28, 2022, while the PC release will come later. No confirmed PC release date for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has been announced at this point. The developer has also revealed that pre-orders are now live for the PS5 version of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Check out the pre-order trailer below:
Additional details about the PS5 version were also revealed in the blog post such as the much-anticipated graphics modes of the title. The PS5 version will come with three different visual settings including:
- Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
- Performance Mode – Performance Mode targets a 60 FPS frame rate.
- Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps* at a 1080p resolution.
Out of these three settings, the Performance+ Mode is probably an interesting one since it will target for 120Hz at 1080p resolution so if you are still playing your PS5 on a 1080p screen, you will be able to enjoy the upcoming Uncharted Collection in crisp 120 frames per second. The load times of both titles have dropped massively as well as SIE details them as ‘near-instant. The remaster will also feature 3D audio along with DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will set you back $49.99 and pre-orders are now live for all PS5 regions. The collection will release in both digital and physical forms. If you own PS4 versions of both of these titles, whether digitally or physically, you will be able to get the upgrade for just $10. The upgrade option will arrive on January 28, 2022, as well so you cannot jump in them early even if you own the original versions.
Disc owners will need to insert their PS4 game discs into their PS5 to play the remasters every time they want to download or play the PS5 digital versions. In addition, if you own the PS4 discs but own the disc-free version of PS5, you cannot upgrade with this option. You must have a PS5 with a blue ray drive for this option. The PC version is also slated for a release in 2022 however its confirmed release date will be announced at a later stage. The title was announced at the PlayStation Showcase held back in September.
