After getting the quest from Gowy, make sure that you are ready for a tough fight because the girl Gowy is trying to save is an NPC who has turned into an invader now. You can run away from the invader as well if you do not wish to fight her. For finding the needle, you need to head to Caelid and fight with the powerful boss called Commander O’Neil. This is a rather tough fight however if you know a few tips, you will defeat the boss in no time.
At the start of the fight, the boss will summon 6 support units, so you have to deal with them as well. If you can afford it, call some Spirit Summons and you should be good to go for the fight as they will engage the boss while you take care of the support units. During your fight with the boss, watch out for the deadly AoE attack that causes Scarlet Rot and the powerful lunge attack that deals massive damage to your character.
Dodge and try to keep your distance from the boss in order to make the fight easier. Once the boss is down to 50%, he will summon additional support units so make sure that you take them out first because this time, they are more powerful as well and their axes deal plenty of additional damage. Keep at it and once the boss goes down, you will be able to grab the Unalloyed Gold Needle.
Now go back to Gowy and give him the needle. Complete the following dialogue and he will give you Sellia’s Secret. The Needle will be removed from your inventory, and you will need to visit Gowy after some time to get it after he repairs it for you. As far as Sellia, you now possess the power to remove the barriers and get access to all buildings of Sellia. You can explore the town at your own will.
