After its initial teaser, Supermassive Games, today has officially revealed their brand-new title The Quarry which follows along the lines of Until Dawn. The Quarry is a choice-based horror title that revolves around a group of teenagers who are stuck in the middle of a forest on their last day of summer camp. Similar to Until Dawn, The Quarry will depend heavily on player choices.
Check out the reveal trailer for The Quarry below before we jump into additional details about the game:
Your focus will be on the nine counselors of Hackett’s Quarry who are left behind and decide to throw the last party to celebrate. The events of the game take the traditional Supermassive turn and things do not go as planned and all hell breaks loose. You will get to control each of the nine young counselors and try to survive the night. Each choice in the game will have its own consequence. The enemies in the game will include blood-drenched locals and other creatures hunting you in the night.
Each character in the game can survive and each of them can die as well. Staying true to the previous titles, The Quarry features some of the biggest actors featured in some of the best horror films of the past. This includes Scream’s David Arquette and Lin Shaye from A Nightmare on Elm Street. Apart from them, you will also see Ariel Winter who played Alex Dunphy in Modern Family and Justice Smith from Detective Pikachu and Jurassic World.
The Quarry is slated for release on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on June 10, 2022. At this point, additional details about the game have not been released. If you want to buy the game on PC, you can head over to Steam right now and add the game to your wishlist.
