THQ Nordic has announced that their metal-twisting, destruction derby-style racer Wreckfest is coming to Nintendo Switch. On June 21, 2022, fans of the franchise will be able to take the crazy mettle-bending racer on the go anywhere as the game arrives on Nintendo’s flagship console. The Nintendo Switch release will bring all of the content released for the game including the online modes of the game as well.
Wreckfest is the latest title in the long-running Flatout series by Bugbear Interactive and after spending a decent amount of time in Early Access, Wreckfest was finally released in its best shape possible. The developers had worked on the title alongside its fans and their feedback helped immensely in the development of the title. After its PC release, THQ Nordic brought the game to PlayStation and Xbox and now finally, Nintendo Switch players will be able to enjoy this brilliant title as well.
Wreckfest brings its own wrecking charm to the game as it features tons of vehicles to choose from. From destruction derby cars ranging from small hatchbacks to sturdy vans, the game also features a crazy collection of vehicles including a lawnmower, a harvester, limo, school bus, monster truck, and much more. The game features a large number of modes to drive and wreck these vehicles in.
The Nintendo Switch version of Wreckfest will feature up-to-16-player online multiplayer mode along with offline tournaments with a steady 30 FPS. It will also feature two season packages:
- Season 1 package includes 20 crazy and iconic vehicles, 20 insane roof decorations, and a car customization pack with new armor, rims, and more.
- Season 2 package grants you access to 12 additional cars.
Previously Wreckfest arrived on Google Stadia, and it was also part of the PS Plus Games for May 2021 lineup. The PS5 version of the game was released in March 2021.
