Rainbow Six Siege Gets New Emerald Plains Map After Three Years

Rainbow Six Siege Emerald Plains

Fans of Rainbow Six Siege will be happy to know that the game has received a brand-new map called Emerald Plains. Emerald Plains is the first new map to arrive in the game in three years and this is not a rework of any of the previous maps available in the game. The new Emerald Plains map is now part of Rainbow Six Siege across all platforms including Amazon Luna and Google Stadia.

The new Emerald Plains map features a massive country club and a private ranch called Emerald Plains. The country club offers plenty of opportunities to rappel such as the skylight or use the three interior stairs for reaching the upper floors and hide behind the fireplace atrium for a good vantage point. For attackers, there are plenty of safe and risk-taking opportunities and you can use these to your benefit.

Emerald Plains features two floors inside its vast country club where one of the bottom floors is contrasting against the classic style of the manor’s upper floor, to emphasize clear call-outs and orientation landmarks. Ubisoft details that the new map is partially inspired by Bartlett and Border. Spacious rooms inside the building provide ample playground for shooters. The new map comes with the Year 7 Season 1 Demon Veil along with the new Operator Azumi.

Azumi comes equipped with the game-changing Kiba Barrier gadget that repairs holes in walls and floors and offers a more mobile and versatile defensive approach. Year 7 will bring additional new maps to Rainbow Six Siege and cross-play with cross-progression along with a new Reputation System, new permanent game modes that include Team Deathmatch, and more to be revealed later.

Emerald Plains is now live in Rainbow Six Siege for all players who are currently playing Year 7 Season 1. Ubisoft previously detailed the Year 7 Season along with its 2022 plans for the year. Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft+, Xbox Game Pass, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
