NecoreGames has announced that King Arthur: Knight’s Tale to get a free content update called The Chained God. The update will be available to everyone next month in June.
This is also said to be the first of many free content updates that the game is going to be getting over time. In addition to the updates, there is also longer form content in the works, however, more details will be revealed later.
The announcement of King Arthur: Knight’s Tale The Chained God was accompanied by a trailer:
The Chained God will let you take the role and play as the mighty Fomorians, the brutal and terrifying giants of Avalon – the main enemy faction in Knights of the Round Table, introducing new gameplay, new items and expanding the game’s lore.
You are Sir Mordred, the nemesis of King Arthur, the former black knight of the grim tales. You killed King Arthur, but with his dying breath, he struck you down. You both died – and yet, you both live.
The Lady of the Lake, the ruler of the mystical island of Avalon brought you back to end a true nightmare. She wants you to go on a knightly quest. She wants you to finish what you have begun. Kill King Arthur – or whatever he has become after she took his dying vessel to Avalon.
We got to review the Early Access review of the game last year, where even in the development stages, the game mechanics were brilliant and was pretty forgiving for new players as a turn-based combat game.

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale faced a couple of delays earlier this year after it was previously announced for a full launch in February. The game was first delayed to March but then delayed again to 26th April when it was finally released on PC. Players interested in the console version can expect the game to launch at a later date.
