Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham have shared a new gameplay video of their upcoming game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The game will launch next year in 2023, and it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
The trailer features Slaughter Family and their victims and showcases all the frights and sights from the original film along with a host of grisly surprises. The asymmetrical horror experience is based on the groundbreaking and iconic 1974 horror film of the same name.

Since the reveal, one of the main questions we’ve received has been ‘when will we see gameplay footage?’ We’re fortunate to be able to celebrate this news alongside the gameplay our community has been anxious to see and bring them further details on when they can expect to get their hands on the game to experience it for themselves. We hope that fans are as excited for the Uncut Trailer of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as we are to show it to them.

The community asked, and we’re thrilled to answer that our partners at Sumo were able to create a plan to bring The Texas Chain Saw Massacre to the Xbox One and PlayStation®4 platforms in a way that preserves the gameplay and visual tone of the title while giving players what they have been asking for. It was important to us to enable every fan of the franchise to experience our vision for the game.
Since this is coming from Gun Interactive, we know that the gameplay will be a classic asymmetrical horror survival game and there will be a team of victims and a team of killers. THere might be just one killer and the victims will have to work together in order to escape from the killer of incapacitate him. Judging from the trailer and the artwork, we know that the iconic Leatherface and his chainsaw will be making an appearance in the game. There will be more killers in the game as well because that is what the trailer is showing so far. We are not sure at this point however the game might have more than one killers in one game as well.
For additional details, we will need to wait more and see what the developers at Gun INteractive are cooking however whatever the case is, this might be a refresher in the assymetrical horror survival games because at this point, all games are becoming a little too similar.
