The original announcement of the game was made during the UploadVR Showcase last month and you can now jump into the open beta.

VAIL VR open beta comes with plenty of new features such as competitive matchmaking. The game will be celebrating the launch of the pre-season of its first major competitive tournament. Winners will get their share from a cash prize pool with the grand finals of the event slated to be held in Miami later this year. VAIL VR sees two teams of five players competing with each other in head-to-head modes such as Team Deathmatch and Artifact.

In Team Deathmatch, the team with the most kills at the end of the match wins and is the classic mode that is featured in nearly every shooter. If you are looking for something unique, then Artifact mode is for you which is similar to search and destroy. One team in this mode is the Attackers while the other team is the Defenders. The Attackers must infiltrate the site and extract the hidden data within a designated location however the Defenders must protect the data as well as their own lives.
