It appears like inactive Lost Ark accounts are getting banned and players who spent actual money on the free-to-play game are losing their access to the game. If that was not bad enough, if a player gets permabanned from a game, it is also shown on their profile which ruins their player profile as well. As of now, the official Lost Ark forums are filled with complaints from players whose accounts got banned and some of the players are leaving negative reviews on the game’s official Steam page as well.

As pointed out by Wario64 on Twitter, the post about the permaban first appeared on r/pcgaming where a post made by the user u/Funtastwich pointed out what is happening with the game. Players losing their access started review-bombing after finding out that their accounts are no longer accessible to them. The whole scenario forced Amazon Games to look into the issue and the developer then issued an official statement citing that the inactive accounts were caught in the wave ban which was originally meant for bot accounts.
Amazon detailed that it is a routine procedure to ban bot accounts that are ruining the game for others, and it appears like the inactive accounts were caught in the ban this time around. As of now, Amazon is working to fix the issue and restore all valid accounts that were accidentally permabanned during this time. AGS is also recommending all players to report to Amazon who were permabanned to submit a Ban Appeal ticket to Customer Support. If your account was affected by this issue, you should hurry up and report to Amazon to have your account restored because it gets lost forever.
Was your account affected by the recent auto-bot ban wave in Lost Ark and are you still playing this game? Let us know in the comments section below.
