Publisher Tripwire Presents and VR developer Digital Lode have announced the release of the latest update for Espire 2 which brings matchmaking to the game. The new update which is now live in Espire 2 introduced public matchmaking for the very first time in the game and adds the most requested feature by the community to the game. With the new update in place, players will easily find like-minded players to play the game with and experience Espire 2’s co-op campaign easily.
Apart from adding matchmaking to the game, the new update also marks a major milestone for Espire 2 as the developer has managed to deliver yet another major feature as detailed in Espire 2’s 2023 roadmap. Additional features and updates are also currently in development and their details will be shared by Digital Lode at a later time. As revealed earlier, major highlights of the Espire 2 Public Roadmap include:
- Espire Ops: New single-player levels with weekly developer-set challenges
- Public Co-Op: Find public co-op games with fellow operatives when your friends aren’t online
- Co-Op Missions: More Co-op missions are in the works. In addition, players can expect a new hardcore difficulty setting for singleplayer and Co-Op Campaigns
- New VR Platforms: Espire 2 is coming to new virtual reality platforms. We are in the early stages of development and will have more to announce in 2023
- Skins: In response to this top request from players, Digital Lode will also introduce unlockable frame skins & weapon variants
Espire 2 is a unique VR stealth shooter that combines the tactical precision of modern stealth titles with the unprecedented immersion of VR further expanding upon the first game in the franchise. Espire 2 is currently available on Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro. The game will be released on additional VR platforms soon as well.
