You can start fishing with a basic rod and by going to a fishing spot to begin catching fish. But the game has plenty of ways that can help you catch better fish and also make it easier. Let’s first take a look at how to fish in the game.

How to Fish

Although you can get a basic fishing rod from a shop and start fishing, you can also buy a better fishing rod for a higher price that offers better performance. You can purchase a good fishing rod from Shinto Priests’ exchange shop, provided that you have enough Virtue to buy one.

Fishing rods are also specialized for use in the river or the sea. These are the two different types of fishing spots: rivers and sea.

Once you have the fishing rod, follow the mini-game to catch a fish. The only difference with fishing when using a basic rod and a good rod like the Rivermaster or the Sea Master is that it will take less time to catch a fish as compared to using a basic starter rod.
