Diablo 4 features a huge map and it takes a lot of time to move around. Getting yourself a mount can really make it easy for you to move around in the game. If you travel from one region to another region a lot and normally, you will have to because the quests in the game are pretty long and they span over different regions sometimes, you will have to find yourself a mount. This Diablo 4 Mount Guide will help you easily secure a mount in Diablo 4 and will also tell you everything about mounts in the game.
Mount Guide – Diablo 4
While portals allow the fastest way to travel around the world in Diablo 4, reaching these portals can become tedious if you have to do it by foot. For this very reason, having a mount in Diablo 4 is important unless you do not mind walking or running everywhere. Lucky for you, Diablo 4 features horses that you can use as mounts and reach areas much more quickly as compared to walking or running there.
The portals will only be present in the main areas and there are tons of areas that are not near a portal. For these far-off areas, you will need yourself to find a horse so that you can move around quickly and spend more time completing quests and objectives, rather than just running around trying to reach different areas.
How to Get a Mount in Diablo 4
Naturally, obtaining a mount in Diablo 4 is tied to story progression. You will be able to get a horse when you reach the Act 4 of the main story and complete the Donan’s Favor quest. You should know that Act 4 of Diablo 4 is only unlocked when you have completed Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3 of the main story. You can complete the first three acts of the game in any order but if you want to reach Act 4, you must complete all of the first three acts of the game. Once done, you will reach Act 4 where you can finally complete Donan’s Favor and unlock your very first mount.
At the end of the quest, you will receive the notification that you have unlocked the Stables and then you can visit any of the many stables littered around the map to grab your very first horse. On your map, when you check for Services on any city, if it has a Horse icon, it means that you will find a Stable Master here. Interacting with the Stable Master takes you to the Stable menu where you can view your current horses and also check the vendor tab to purchase new mounts for yourself.
How to Summon a Mount in Diablo 4
After you have unlocked mounts and added the first free horse to your mounts list, you can summon it while out in freeroam. Whenever you want to call your horse, simply press the horse summon button and your horse will appear by your side. After your horse has been summoned, you can use it to move around wherever you want but you must know that once you have dismounted it, it will disappear, and you cannot summon it again for 10 seconds. Once the cooldown period has passed, you can call it again and you can mount it to move around.
